Climbing up into my watchtower...

Thank you for joining me as we continue to prepare our hearts for revival. We pray you will join us at the Just Give Me Jesus Revival, led by Anne Graham Lotz, Sept. 21-22, at the James Brown Arena in Augusta, Georgia. Please find us on facebook, Just Give Me Jesus Augusta, Georgia to keep up with the latest news. For more information and to learn how you can watch the revival from the comfort of your own home please go to Just Give Me Jesus Augusta.

“I will climb up to my watchtower and stand at my guardpost. There I will wait to see what the LORD says and how he will answer my complaint.”
Habakkuk 2:1 ESV
Are you watching for Revival? Are you praying for Revival? Are you frustrated because you seek revival for the world but see no evidence? Are you at your wit’s end crying out to God but not seeing the revival you so desperately desire?
Habakkuk knew those frustrations. He saw sin everywhere around him. He saw people who were far away from God and it broke his heart. With this broken heart he boldly and confidently took his questions and complaints to God.
Habakkuk had reached the point of desperation. Have you reached that point of desperation? Are you crying out in prayer sharing your concerns with God? Have you turned them over to him?
Go to your “watchtower”, get alone with God, remove any distractions you may have, and cry out to God.
And then…wait. Wait patiently. In Acts 1:7 Jesus says, “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority.” God’s timing is perfect, he knows what must happen in order for His Glory to be shown. We are not to force the issue. But we are to earnestly pray and watch.
And then…watch His Glory be revealed as He rends the heavens, the mountains tremble before Him and He brings Revival to our land.
Dear Lord, take us to our watchtower. May we stand on guard and pray earnestly on our knees as we cry out for Revival. Help us to wait patiently on You to reveal Your Glory through Revival of our land. In Your Name We Pray, Amen.

Thankful Thursday - Not so patiently waiting...

Waiting...

I don't like waiting. I get impatient & want an answer & a fix to my issue now.

But God.

God says "Wait... I am doing a new thing. Sit patiently... silently... calmly."

"Let me work in you & through you. Let me love you."

"Feel the Grace I have given you. Be the Grace to others I have been to you."

Its hard... but I wait. And while I wait I learn to be patient. I allow His Presence to Calm the turmoil inside me.

Continuing the Joy Dare #540 - #545

  • waiting & the pain that comes with it
  • watching my husband be the man God has called him to be
  • curiosity & the tears that come from learning a lesson
  • reviewing a book that is speaking to me in more ways than I could imagine
  • Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don't try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way. James 1:2-4
  • knealing face down laying it at God's feet
