“For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.”
1 Peter 1:18,19

In Fresh Encounter, Experiencing God’s power for Spiritual Awakening, Henry & Richard Blackaby discuss the Seven Phases of Revival. We will take some time over the next few weeks to look at those seven phases.
·      Phase 1: God is on a mission to redeem a lost world.
·      Phase 2: God’s people tend to depart from Him, turning to substitutes for His presence, His purposes, and His ways.
·      Phase 3: God disciplines His people because of His love.
·      Phase 4: God’s people cry out to Him for help.
·      Phase 5: God calls His people to repent and return to Him or perish.
·      Phase 6: God revives His repentant people by restoring them to a right relationship with Him.
·      Phase 7: God exalts His Son, Jesus, among His people and draws unbelievers to saving faith in Him.
John 3:16 tells us that God loved the world so much that He sent His son to die on the cross for our sins. God didn’t have to watch His son suffer in pain and cry in agony for sins he didn’t commit.
But, Jesus, God’s son, laid down His life for us. He was a perfect, unblemished lamb paying the price for our sins.
Jesus ministered and saved the twelve disciples, Zacchaeus & the woman at the well. But it wasn’t just them that He came to save.
·      Jesus came to save the lost in Africa.
·      He came to save the homeless man begging for food.
·      He came to save the elderly person struggling to make ends meet in this hurting economy.
·      He came to save the father working hard to provide for his family.
·      Jesus came to save the young mom taking care of her children.
·      He came to save the teenager & college student trying to find their way in life.
·      He came to save you right where you are.
God loves you! Jesus loves you! Will you turn your life over to Him?

Dear Lord,
I humbly come before you thanking you for loving me so much that you sent your son to die on the cross for my sins. I admit I am a sinner. Please forgive me. Come into my heart and change me. Help me to lean on you as you change my life into the person you want me to be.

In Your Name I Pray.

In His Calm,
Mary
